Contract offered: This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract to run for 9 months from 1 May 2018, with the potential to extend subject to confirmation of the Post-Holder’s return date
Salary: £30-35,000 per annum

ActionSpace is London’s leading and longest running visual arts organisation for artists with learning disabilities. Our vision is for artists with learning disabilities to be at the heart of the visual arts sector.

As one of only four organisations in London to receive an uplift in Arts Council England’s 2018-22 National Portfolio Organisation funding round, we are entering into an exciting new period of development. This will include expanding our exhibitions and events programme and developing new partnerships in the contemporary visual arts sector to create more opportunities for artists with learning disabilities.

•assisting the two chief-executives to grow and develop ActionSpace’s profile as one of the UK’s premier supported studios for artists with learning disabilities.
•providing robust administrative support in order to ensure the organisation is able to continue carrying out its work to the high standard it has become known for.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, enjoy using their initiative to generate new ideas and find solutions, and be a self-starter ready to support colleagues at all levels.

Whilst the role is based in our centrally located office in Holborn, the post holder will also have opportunities to visit our projects across London.

Job title: Senior Creative Producer, Collections in Verse
Company: Poet in the City
Salary: £30,000 (pro-rata to £24,000 for 4 days)

This is a one-off opportunity to lead Collections in Verse, a new collaborative programme between Poet in the City and the British Library. In this new job, you will create, produce and lead poetry shows and commissions inspired by British Library exhibitions in libraries and community spaces across the country. Based at Poet in the City with regular working at the British Library, this is a unique opportunity to work with two leading literature organisations of very different sizes; you will benefit from a small creative producing organisation and the resources of a national library.

You will be a confident all-rounder and self-starter, who is equally at home creating dazzling poetry events, supporting artists and delivering participatory programming, as working as a fundraiser, evaluator and project manager. You must be happy to work independently and take initiative, as you’ll be travelling around the UK to work with our partners and bring this exciting programme to life.
This project will change how both organisations work, and so we and our partners at the British Library are very excited about this new job – we’re really looking forward to welcoming someone new to the team.
